A Message from Jason Brink

April 20th, 2020 – I am very pleased to announce that I have joined the International Coaching Federation! Those of you who have known me in a coaching context, either as an admissions consultant or a personal coach, know that I am constantly growing and evolving my approach to better suit the requirements of my clients. The International Coaching Federation aligns perfectly with my long-term goals in this field, and I am happy to be included as a member.

While there is something of a difference between coaching and admissions consulting, in the ideal world there should be a LOT of overlap. Admissions consulting shouldn’t just be about cramming a student into a school – it is about creating the opportunity for that client to grow into the type of person who will THRIVE in a highly competitive academic environment. More importantly, it is about growing into the type of person who will GROW beyond that highly competitive environment and become something MORE after they graduate. You don’t want to be the type of person who graduates and then feels lost and groundless…who goes into a job they don’t really like because it makes sense but feels lost and without passion. Life doesn’t need to be like that…it can be amazing and filled with meaning, even if you are stuck in your house.

Today, especially as we all sit under quarantine, working on self, building discipline, and taking extraordinary steps to achieve goals is what will allow us to come out of this current isolation much greater than we were when we went into it.

Stay strong everyone! Normally, I would say “get out there and be great!” but I think this time I will finish with a “stay awesome!”

Testimonials

“Jason has been a phenomenal force helping our children earn a spot in their respective Ivy League universities. Attentive and sensitive, he possesses such a flair to connect with teenagers and inspire them to reach their full potential. Jason is a walking encyclopedia, and his creativity is boundless. Most importantly he knows how to handle his students in stressful times as well, as he is ever so patient with parents. His work with our kids was life changing!”

Parents of Ivy-League Students

“I have been working with Jason for the past 11 years. Initially, Jason worked as a tutor for many academic areas: Social Studies, English and Philosophy. I feel that Jason’s contribution to my academic success cannot be adequately described in words and that I could not have achieved the magnitude of success I have without his guidance.”

Current Stanford Student

“My son has been working with Jason as a tutor and coach since 3rd grade on many subjects including History, Geography, Politics and Creative Writing. Nevertheless, to my son, Jason is more than just an academic advisor/tutor but a friend and life mentor that advises him on a plethora of topics outside of school. Jason urged my son to pursue his own passions and facilitate his interests in various academic subjects, acting as a coach, a friend, and a motivator. Overall, I feel that Jason was a vital part in grooming my son to become a competent student, a hard worker, and a well-rounded young man. Much of his success so far, both in academics and in life, could be accredited to Jason.”
